This Privacy Policy explains what personal data BreezyRoutes collects when you visit breezyroutes.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Data We Collect and Why
Contact Form
When you write to us through our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this data only to reply to you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: up to 12 months after our last exchange, unless a longer period is required by law.
Newsletter and Free Travel Guide
If you subscribe to our newsletter or download our free Greece travel guide, we collect your email address (and your first name, if you provide it). Our email service provider, MailerLite, also records when you signed up and basic engagement data, such as whether an email was opened.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Retention: until you unsubscribe. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also contact us to be removed.
Website Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website: which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, what device and browser they use and their approximate location (country or city level). This data is pseudonymous. It does not tell us who you are, but under GDPR it still counts as personal data. We use Google Consent Mode, so analytics cookies are only set after you click “Accept” in our cookie banner.

Retention: up to 14 months.
Hosting and Security
When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is necessary to deliver the website, keep it secure and load it quickly (including caching).
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: server logs are kept for a short period and deleted automatically.
Cookie Consent
We use the Complianz plugin to show our cookie banner and remember your choice.
Legal basis: our legal obligation to obtain and document consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Retention: your choice is stored in a cookie for 365 days.
3. Cookies
We use functional cookies that are necessary for the website to work, and — only with your consent — statistics and marketing cookies. You can find the full list of cookies, their purpose and duration in our Cookie Policy.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Manage consent” button at the bottom of any page.
4. Affiliate Links
Some of our articles contain affiliate links to booking partners for hotels, car rentals, tours and similar services. When you click such a link, you leave our website and the partner’s website may set its own cookies to track that the booking came from us. We do not receive your personal details from these partners, only anonymous information about completed bookings and our commission. Please read the privacy policy of each partner website you visit.
5. Embedded Content and Social Media
Our pages may include embedded content from other platforms, such as YouTube or Instagram. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly, so these platforms may collect data about you. We block this content until you give consent in our cookie banner.
The social media icons on our website are simple links. They do not send any data to the social networks until you click them.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We only share it with service providers who help us run the website and who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:
- Hostinger — website hosting
- Google (Google Analytics) — website statistics
- MailerLite — newsletter and email delivery
- WPForms — contact form (messages are stored in our WordPress database)
- Complianz — cookie consent management
We may also disclose data if we are required to do so by law.
7. International Data Transfers
Some of our providers, such as Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In these cases transfers are protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict the processing of your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Greece, this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 15. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption, keep our software up to date and limit access to personal data. No online service is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
